THIS IS ME

Lover of reggae and grandson to Wiincie Collins, owner of the legendary Queens Ann Club of Belize City, Kwayze Judah grew up immersed in the sounds of reggae artists such as Burning Spear, Peter Tosh & Bob Marley. It's no wonder that upon returning back to his home country, Belize, in 2012, that Kwayze Judah decided to show the little country and world what he'd been holding back for nearly 3 decades -- an incredible talent, Kwayze Judah has made his own emerging impact in the world of Belizean reggae music.
With hits like "0.1 Grams" and "Plant de Corn" to hit the Belizean airwaves in 2014, Kwayze Judah not only left many who thought they knew him, shocked, but also left his name and voice etched into the memories of Belizean's for decades to come. True to form, Kwayze Judah's "0.1 Grams" was such a smashing hit that it he was selected personally by Evan Mose Hyde of Krem Television to be part of the New Artists Performance lineup on the 3 Annual Krem Awards Show in 2014. The song hit right in the middle of the ongoing local and Caribbean- wide debates over the decriminalization of marijuana. Belize has some of the most stringent and imbalanced marijuana laws in the Caribbean. In fact, "0.1 Grams" was a song Kwayze Judah created after reading a story about a man, who had been arrested, charged and sentenced to 6 months in jail for possession of 0.1 grams of marijuana.
Kwayze's smooth and direct style promotes a conscious, rootical message that's always informative and inspiring. A wise voice with much to say, Kwayze Judah's music is a critique, representation and mirror of the reality he either experiences personally or indirectly.
Although Belize is just getting its introduction to Kwayze Judah, his musical repertoire dates back to 2010. As the lead vocalist for reggae band Jahbandis, Kwayze, then known as King Long headlined venues such as San Francisco's Pier 23. As King Long, Kwazye Judah even made headline news as Belize's first Reggae Artist to perform in the Ghana. His arrival and appearance was featured in the Bulletin newspaper and on various radio stations in Accra.
In 2013 Kwazy Judah collaborated with Brazilian Reggae Artist Fabio Jagun, to release "The Book of Life," which was well received in Brazil. Kwayze Judah's versatile abilities as a reggae artists are exemplified with his various collaborations and jah- gifted talent to captivate audiences with the message of Rastafari, no matter if playing live, in a studio, with Jamaican artists or Brazilian artists or for an activist rally.
Most recently, Kwayze Judah's newly-released "Dread Ting" Single is playing nationwide in Belize. The new albulm, "Weed Seed" to be released Jan. 2016.
